2025 Awards entry information will be announced in January 2025

About the 2024 Awards

There were three sections to the 2024 Multimodal Awards, with some new Awards in the judged categories section.

Six Modal Awards recognising excellence in air, road, rail, sea, port and freight forwarding services which are nominated by, and voted for, by the thousands of readers of the Multimodal Newsletter and exhibitors & visitors to Multimodal.   The Winners were announced at the Awards Evening on 11th June.

Seven Judged Awards, Shipper/Partner, Sustainability, Young Logistics Professional, Technology Company, Best Warehouse Operation, Customs Technology Partner and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards all required a short written submission, and were independently judged by a panel of industry experts*.   The winners were announced at the Awards Evening on 11th June.

A further two Awards were given by the Multimodal Team to our Exhibitor of the Year and our Multimodal Personality of the Year.

This makes them one of the fairest industry Awards as companies are nominated and voted for by the industry for the industry through an independent Awards nomination and voting system, or independently judged by industry experts.

Winning an Award is a true independent endorsement of a company's excellence.

BEST WAREHOUSE OPERATION AWARD

Warehouses play an increasingly important role in supply chains as ecommerce forces traditional retail tasks upstream and quasi-manufacturing activities such as assembly and printing downstream. Warehouses have also become hubs for returns management, recycling, upcycling and repairs, helping reduce waste as part of the circular economy.

Accordingly, The UK Warehousing Association has launched ‘2024: The Year of Warehousing’ to put this growing sector into the spotlight and achieve the wider recognition it fully deserves.

Multimodal is delighted to support this initiative with a brand new Award that showcases an outstanding warehouse operation in the UK.  Judges will be looking for evidence of optimised efficiency and productivity through innovation, a clear commitment to sustainability towards achievement of national net zero goals, and best-practice processes that support safety in the warehouse and drive diversity, inclusivity and equal opportunity within the workforce. In short, our winner will tick all the boxes for a successful modern warehouse operation.

The activity must have taken place or have been planned since January 2023.

Entries will be scored against the following:

  • A genuine entry - marketing materials will not be accepted
  • Evidence of optimised efficiency and productivity through innovation
  • A clear commitment to sustainability towards achievement of national net zero goals
  • Best-practice processes that support safety in the warehouse and drive diversity, inclusivity and equal opportunity within the workforce
