With 300,000 tonnes of seafood products processed each year, supply and distribution logistics unparalleled in the sector and its large cold-storage capacity, Boulogne-sur-Mer is the leading food-industry logistics platform in Europe.
The Port of Calais alone processes a third of the sea freight shipped between continental Europe and the United Kingdom. It is also a leading intermodal port and the only port in Northern Europe equipped with a rolling-road terminal connecting Southern Europe to Northern France, Belgium and the British Isles.
