XPO has confirmed its latest partnership with TotalEnergies after winning the business through a competitive tender process.

The long-term contract will see XPO and TotalEnergies work together to improve operational efficiencies and enhance the customer delivery experience. XPO will provide end-to-end services, including inbound transportation, shared user warehousing and value-added services, and outbound distribution of transporting packaged lubricants from finished goods production to TotalEnergies UK customer base. The transport services include Inbound, full truckload freight (FTL) from France, Belgium and the United Kingdom (UK) plant, customs brokerage, and shared user (less-than-truckload) network distribution. The company’s UK head office is in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire. XPO also already works with TotalEnergies in France and Iberia.

Chris Wall, Supply Chain and Strategy Manager, Lubricants Division, TotalEnergies, said:

“We are delighted to be working with XPO Logistics, who is a leading provider of integrated logistics services of packed lubricants, a key factor in our decision to choose XPO as our partner after a competitive tender process. Both companies also share a culture of safety, continued innovation with a commitment to sustainable solutions.”

TotalEnergies benefits from a multi-client warehousing solution in one of XPO’s central Midland locations. XPO’s integrated technology solution, which includes a leading warehouse management system along with plans to provide TotalEnergies with the ability to utilise its XPO Connect system, will further enhance the customer experience. XPO operates the largest in-house ADR network in the UK and specialises in the distribution of chemical, lubricant, and construction products.

Dan Myers, Managing Director – UK and Ireland, XPO Logistics, said:

“TotalEnergies is a leader in safety, quality and innovation in the packed lubricants sector; working in partnership, we will bring the same standards and approach to the provision of logistics services.”
