TOFCs through the tunnel

An innovative new service between Cologne and Barking has started operating (from 12th June) operated by TX Logistik. The train arrived in Barking on the 14th June.

This service will use, for the first time in the UK, T3000 wagons. This wagon will allow all equipment to be carried; crane-able and non crane-able mega trailers (P400), 45’ HCPW containers, 45’ reefers, Tankers and swap bodies.

The service in Cologne will link to other lanes and services in Europe; to Italy, Romania, Turkey and Austria

The ultimate objective is to run a daily service which will reduce approximately 25,000tons of CO2 per annum.
