tick9 partners with iplicit to bring transport and logistics SMEs to the cloud

tick9, a consultancy specialised in optimising business systems and data analytics, has today announced a new partnership with cloud accounting provider iplicit to bolster its offering for the transport, logistics, and supply chain midmarket.

Together, the two companies aim to address a significant gap for SMEs in these sectors, many of which have outgrown entry-level cloud systems or have been stranded on legacy on-premises systems without an accessible path to cloud.

The partnership was unveiled at Multimodal in NEC Birmingham, the UK’s leading transport, logistics, and supply chain exhibition.

iplicit is the latest addition to tick9’s growing suite of tech partners, which includes market leaders in areas such as inventory management. In parallel, tick9 continues to integrate transport management systems through its own AI-enabled platform and other partner technologies, supporting end-to-end visibility and automation across logistics and finance operations.

As an accredited iplicit partner, tick9 will now be able to serve transport, logistics, and supply chain SMEs in need of a modern cloud finance solution without the cost, complexity, or disruption of enterprise-scale alternatives.

Steve Fewster, Director at tick9, adds:

“Working primarily with SMEs in the £5m-£250m revenue range, we see many struggling to navigate systems that are outdated, disconnected or simply no longer fit for purpose. In logistics, many clients have grown through acquisitions and have been left managing dozens of systems. Others are stuck with legacy systems like Sage 50 or Sage 200, that either lack flexibility or are overly complex and expensive with a heavy reliance on third-party add-ons.

“The market opportunity here is immense. I've worked with countless finance systems over the past two decades, but iplicit stands out as bridging a real gap in the midmarket. Its implementation timeline, measured in weeks rather than months, minimises disruption and is a huge advantage for SMEs looking to modernise quickly. We see this as the beginning of a long and successful collaboration.”

Paula Cooper, Head of Channel at iplicit adds:

"tick9 is an ideal partner for iplicit. Its deep understanding of the transport and logistics SME market, and commitment to delivering impactful solutions, align perfectly with our mission to help businesses escape the confines of legacy and entry-level systems. Our partnership with tick9 will accelerate the benefits of cloud for countless organisations in this space."

iplicit secured its first institutional investment, a £25M raise from One Peak, in January 2025. The investment will drive product innovation and growth, including the expansion of its accountancy and reseller partner network and the launch of its Channel Reseller Programme in 2024.
