Spliethoff Group acquires majority interest in ForestWave

Spliethoff Group and ForestWave are have announced that ForestWave will join the Spliethoff Group as its seventh business unit per September 30th. With this expansion, the number of vessels commercially operated by the Spliethoff Group has grown to a combined fleet of over 140 vessels.

Group members Spliethoff and Sevenstar Yacht Transport and ForestWave have been successfully and closely working together for quite some time in the sea transportation of mainly bulk cargoes and yachts. This cooperation will now be intensified under the umbrella of the Spliethoff Group.

On behalf of the management of Spliethoff Group Bras and Van den Heuvel emphasize the importance of this step:

“After so many years of constructive and pleasant cooperation with ForestWave, formalising this cooperation is a logical step. The takeover of ForestWave will provide synergy and enable us to offer our clients an even broader scope of logistic solutions. We look forward to a productive cooperation.”
