Meachers Global Logistics invests £1m to fuel future growth

Meachers Global Logistics has committed to a significant investment of over £1 million as part of a long-term strategy to expand its operations and enhance resilience.

The investment includes the acquisition of ten trailers and six tractors, with six of the trailers co-branded with long-standing customer Prysmian Cables and Systems.

Gary Whittle, Commercial Director, said:

“Prysmian is a valued partner, and we’re pleased to strengthen our relationship with them through this fleet expansion. We’re building for the future to ensure that Meachers becomes bigger and more resilient.”

The investment extends beyond fleet expansion. Meachers is also bolstering its team, welcoming new talent in key management roles to support its growing operations.

Mark Lee has joined as General Manager, leading Freight Forwarding activities, while Emma Newman has taken on the role of Warehouse Operations Manager, bringing her logistics expertise to strengthen the company’s operational framework.

Gary added:

“We’re future-proofing our business by investing in both our assets and our people. This approach positions us to meet the demands of a fast-paced logistics industry and ensures that we remain robust in the face of future challenges.”
