Kingscote Rojay Ltd (KRL) has successfully completed the acquisition of Republic Cargo Systems UK Ltd (RCS UK), strengthening its foothold in the UK logistics sector and expanding its air and ocean freight capabilities.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for KRL, as RCS UK, previously part of the U.S.-based RCS Group, has established itself as a key player in freight services over the past decade. The integration of RCS UK into KRL is expected to unlock new opportunities by leveraging shared expertise and resources.
Peter Phythian, representing the KRL Board of Directors, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition:
“RCS UK has built a strong reputation in air and ocean freight, and this acquisition presents an incredible opportunity to enhance our reach into key markets, including Europe, North America, and Asia. By bringing RCS UK into the KRL group, we can offer a more seamless, efficient service to our clients while expanding our presence in crucial trade corridors. This move aligns with our long-term strategy of growth and innovation in the industry, and I look forward to working with the talented team at RCS UK to achieve even greater success.”
Operating out of Solihull, RCS UK’s presence complements KRL’s existing operations in the region. The acquisition is expected to bolster KRL’s strategic expansion plans and reinforce its commitment to delivering outstanding freight solutions both in the UK and internationally.
Phythian will also assume the role of Managing Director at RCS UK, ensuring a seamless transition and integration between the two businesses. While RCS UK will continue to trade under its existing brand for the time being, it will now function as part of the wider KRL group.
Welcoming the RCS UK team, Phythian added:
“We are delighted to have RCS UK join the KRL family. We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues, harnessing our combined strengths, and exploring new opportunities as we continue to grow and innovate together.”
The acquisition underscores KRL’s dedication to expanding its service capabilities and delivering value to its clients, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both companies.
