The Gregory Group has announced that it has acquired John Mitchell (Grangemouth) Ltd (JMGL) as of 3rd March 2025. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Gregory’s  journey to expand its footprint and strengthen its logistics services.

John Mitchell (Grangemouth) Ltd, is a family-owned business with nearly 70 years of trading history. The company is a prominent name in container haulage and has built a strong reputation for exceptional customer service. Gregory’s welcome a team of 200 who manage a fleet of 130 trucks, a 100,000 sq ft warehouse, and an onsite workshop.

Ross Mitchell will continue to run the business in the role of Operations Director, ensuring the continued high standards of service for which John Mitchell is known. The business will continue to operate haulage, warehousing and container services.

With a strong reputation in Scotland, the team will continue to operate under the John Mitchell brand. It will be business as usual for John Mitchell customers, with the added benefit of having access to our wider Group’s logistics solutions.

The John Mitchell business has been built on service excellence since it was formed in 1956. Everyone in the team works collaboratively to deliver the very best logistics solutions, underpinned by values that were instilled three generations ago.
