Forfield launched

Four companies have joined forces under the banner of Forfield to tender for contract work managing the Ministry of Defence’s supply chains, partner Kuehne+Nagel has announced.

The consortium brings together Kuehne+Nagel, TVS Supply Chain Solutions, Atos, and Turner & Townsend, with each partner providing specialist capabilities across the defence logistics spectrum:

Kuehne+Nagel: Global transport, customs compliance, and supply chain management

TVS Supply Chain Solutions: Procurement, demand forecasting, and inventory management

Atos: Secure digital infrastructure and cybersecurity

Turner & Townsend: Programme management, commercial oversight, and governance

Collectively, the four organisations employ over 14,000 people in the UK and hold more than 170 years of combined defence-sector experience. All four members hold Gold awards under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.

Aaron Scott, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel UK, said:

“Forfield combines the complementary expertise of four highly experienced partners to support the evolving logistics requirements of the UK defence sector. Kuehne+Nagel brings its national and global logistics capability to ensure critical equipment and materiel reach the right place at the right time.”

Roger West, Managing Director for Defence and Government at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, added:

“In an increasingly unpredictable environment, operational readiness depends on visibility, insight, and agility across the supply chain. As demands evolve, organisations require supply chains that can adapt quickly, perform consistently, and remain resilient in the face of disruption.”

By offering a single point of contact rather than four separate vendor relationships, Forfield aims to enhance equipment and materiel availability for operations. The alliance addresses the defence sector’s shifting demands driven by global uncertainty, supply chain complexity, emerging technology, and the need for rapid operational response.
