Europa Road strengthens European routes with new strategic partnerships

Europa Road has expanded its established European partner network with new collaborations with leading players in France and Greece. This is boosting cross-border capacity and improving service reliability for customers moving goods between the UK and key continental markets.

Europa Road is the European road freight division of independent, ambitious transport operator Europa Worldwide Group (EWG) and has identified market leaders Heppner and Goldair Group as leading partners to help build volumes across France and Greece.

Heppner now offers five daily departures from key French hubs including a new daily line to Strasbourg, as well as to Gonesse, Lille, Lyon and Le Mans and replaces previous partners Ziegler and DGS. Additionally, Europa now provides a new weekly Athens service designed to improve access into Greece, with major transport and aviation firm Goldair Group allowing Europa to continue to focus on efficiency without compromising reliability.

Europa Road works with established regional specialists to combine local market expertise with its UK and European network. This approach helps improve service consistency, increase route efficiency and support more resilient freight movements across the continent using best-in-class local partners.

Quality and frequency of support for UK exporters is vital at a time when UK goods exports to the EU rose 5.2 per cent in July 2026 compared with June, increasing by £0.8bn to £16.7bn.

Both France and Greece are vital to UK trade and are on the rise.  In the 12 months to September 2026, France was the UK’s 5th largest trading partner, representing 5.5 per cent of total UK trade.

The UK exported goods valued at £1.7 billion to Greece in the four quarters to the end of Q1 2026, an increase of 11.4 per cent on the same period in 2025, with the South East and North West being the UK regions with the highest exports to Greece.

These figures highlight why robust and reliable cross-border freight capacity is so important between the two markets.  Together, the Goldair and Heppner partnerships strengthen Europa’s ability to support more resilient, reliable and connected trade across Europe.

Jack Baxter, Operations Director at Europa Worldwide Group, said:

"We have chosen to partner with leading players Heppner and Goldair Group as our business values are very much aligned and they provide dynamic and ambitious services.

Goldair Group has become one of Greece’s largest privately owned logistics companies, while Heppner are the market leaders for international groupage distribution from France to many European markets including the UK – operating 100 branches worldwide. Both businesses have values focused on innovation, adaptability and growth investment – which match our own ambitions."

“We continue to invest in our operation to provide the best system available for distributing goods between the UK and Europe. Our purpose-built transit hub in Dartford provides over 40 daily groupage services between the UK and Europe, serving more than 50 continental hubs.”

Through its Heppner – the number one groupage provider in France partnership, Europa Road is fortifying its road freight network, supporting reliable transport services between France and the UK. With its brand-new Strasbourg hub, Heppner’s overland transport network connects more than 40 European countries, with 24- to 72-hour delivery to major European cities.

Patrick Forestier, Group International Network Director at Heppner, shared:

“We are pleased to begin this collaboration with Europa, a trusted partner whose ambition and commitment to service align with ours. It’s where Heppner’s ‘Closer to go further’ meets Europa’s ‘Powered by Better’. Together, we are strengthening connections between France and the UK, with daily departures from four key French hubs: Strasbourg, Gonesse, Lyon and Le Mans. This gives our customers greater choice and reliability on a key European route, while supporting their evolving needs.”

Jack added:

“Heppner will enable us to further strengthen our position as market leaders for groupage distribution between the UK & France. Goldair allows us to widen our reach and services into Greece, providing a faster and more reliable service.”

Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the proudly independent logistics provider launched a new brand identity and company manifesto: “Powered by Better.” This signals a new era of expansion for the firm, which has quadrupled in size over the last 13 years. By working with leading local experts, Europa Road is able to guarantee seamless, timely and reliable transportation of goods between the UK and the EU.
