Felixstowe-based freight forwarder and logistics provider Elite Universal has implemented Verso Waves, consolidating its forwarding activity on a single platform to improve job management, billing and operational visibility.
The new system went live across the company’s operations on 1 August, following a planned migration supported by both teams.
When selecting the software, Elite Universal prioritised effective job management, billing, ease of use and flexibility. The company also sought a technology partner with a clear vision for future development.
Mel Pipe, joint owner and Director of Elite Universal, said:
“Changing a core operational system is a major decision. We needed not only technology our team could work with confidently from day one, but also a technology partner to support the company in the future.
“Verso Waves took the time to understand our operations and our objectives. Its combination of sector knowledge, functionality and collaborative approach gave us confidence that it was the right choice for Elite Universal.”
Mitch Melanaphy, General Manager at Elite Universal, said the team had quickly settled into the new system.
“It is straightforward to navigate, information is easy to find, and we can manage our day-to-day work efficiently,” he said.
“Verso Waves supported us closely throughout the change and was responsive whenever we needed guidance. We now have a system that brings our activities together and gives us a clearer view of each job.”
Developed for freight forwarders, Verso Waves has a modular structure that enables the platform to adapt as workflows and business requirements evolve.
Jon Wood, Managing Director of Verso Waves, said:
“A successful system change depends on the right technology, careful preparation and open communication among all those involved.
“Every freight forwarder operates differently, so we tailor the platform to their way of working. Mel, Mitch and the wider team had a clear sense of their needs, and we look forward to building on this strong start together.”
