EFS Global has acquired sister companies, Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd, which is based in Maidstone, Kent, provides pallet network, general haulage and warehousing/fulfilment services. The fulfilment service is a key service addition to the group and something it hopes to build upon in the years to come.
The purchase of Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd follows several other acquisitions made by EFS in 2022, including Tom Moorhouse & Son (Huddersfield), Andante Freight (Bradford) and Pegasus Express (Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Dundee & Preston).
This now takes the group to £165m turnover and an 26% increase in net profitability. Alongside the financials, these acquisitions have greatly strengthened the presence of the group, now having sites from as north as Inverness to Maidstone, Kent.
EFS Global is one of the UK’s largest freight and haulage groups. It currently has 30+ depots and offices across England and Scotland.
Davis Blank Furniss advised EFS Global on all transactional matters. The team was led by Sonio Singh, partner and head of the corporate department. He was supported Lauren Sever, associate corporate, commercial and employment solicitor.
Mark Jones, MD of EFS Global, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd into the EFS Group and this deal is another step in our ongoing and ambitious growth strategy.”
Sonio Singh added:
“Once again we were pleased to advise the EFS Global team secure another major strategic acquisition which will further bolster the company’s geographical reach across the UK.”
