Bristol Port Company “remains confident for the future”

The Bristol Port Company has said it "remains confident for the future" after a rise in profit and turnover.

In the year to 30 June 2024, pre-tax profit at First Corporate Shipping, trading as The Bristol Port Company, rose to £34.6m from £32.3m. Turnover rose to £127.9m from £116.6m after another strong year across most trades

According to a review within the company's accounts, directors said they were 'pleased' with a "satisfactory year's trading".

In terms of future developments, the company said that the HRO for the development of a deep sea container terminal on the Avonmouth foreshore remains in place.
