Albacore raise awareness of cyber security through nationwide presentations

Throughout 2025, the Albacore team have attended BIFA regional meetings up and down the country as well as speaking at the ever-popular Multimodal exhibition at the NEC in Brimingham. The presentation delivered practical and accessible advice to help freight industry businesses protect their data and their users.

Charlie Frost, Senior Systems Engineer at Albacore who completed a number of the presentations said:

“A range of measures are critical to help mitigate attacks, both soft solutions involving user education as well as more tangible services such as backup routines. These are needed by businesses of all sizes.”

“A significant milestone is imminent in October this year as the end of support for the Windows 10 Operating System is reached. With 79 new vulnerabilities patched in Windows 11 in July alone, devices running Windows 10 will very quickly become vulnerable to threats. At Albacore we’re already keen to help freight industry businesses large and small prepare and refresh their equipment.”
