Wincanton has appointed Savills as the sole property advisor across its logistics business in the UK and Ireland.
The instruction will encompass acquisitions, disposals, asset management, landlord and tenant liaison and a range of other property services as required for Wincanton’s 110 leased sites. The firm’s property portfolio comprises 13 million sq ft (1.2 million sq m) of managed warehousing and 114 acres (46 hectares) of land at over 200 locations.
Wincanton is a leading provider of supply chain solutions, employing 15,500 logistics experts with operating responsibilities for over 4,000 vehicles in the UK and Ireland. Working across multiple sectors from FMCG and retail to defence and construction, its clients include Adidas, BAE Systems, B&Q, CEMEX, GSK, Pernod Ricard, Sainsbury’s and Screwfix.
Stuart Murray, industrial director at Savills, will act as account and transaction manager for Wincanton. He comments:
