Christmas has come early for Supply Chain stars following the announcement that the Multimodal 2025 Awards are open for nominations. In a bid to allow time for the huge number of entries to be processed, organisers have followed in last year’s footsteps by launching the Awards in December, around a month earlier than usual, with all entry forms live on the Multimodal website.

Representatives across the Supply Chain industry can now nominate the businesses, thought leaders and associations who are leading the sector in what are known as the fairest awards in the industry. Votes are cast via the thousands of Multimodal newsletter readers, past attendees and exhibitors, making the Awards independent endorsements for excellence in air, road, rail, maritime and freight.

Recognising outstanding industry-leading supply chain businesses and individuals, the Multimodal Awards ensure all size of businesses are represented, supported by an industry-leading voting system. The written Awards are judged by an autonomous panel, which means that winning an Award is a true independent endorsement of a company's excellence.

Multimodal takes place from 17th –19th June 2025 at Birmingham NEC, with the glittering Award’s ceremony taking place at The Vox Conference Centre on the first evening.

And to help someone secure much sought-after tickets, organisers are this year running a competition to win two places at the Awards evening on 17th June. Entrants need to guess who the Awards host will be, with the winner announced from the correct answer on 10th January 2025.

Commenting on the importance of the Multimodal Awards, Event Director Robert Jervis said: “Bringing together leading organisations and speakers across the Supply Chain industry, the Awards give us an opportunity to celebrate those who make a true difference. With uncertainties across the road haulage sector and the challenges of new global leaders, it is time for those who overcome change to be recognised.

“We would like to encourage nominations to be made as soon as possible and also for bookings to be made for the ceremony before it sells out”.

There are three award categories, one of which is judged and awarded by the Multimodal team.

The Modal Awards are nominated and voted for by the industry via an independent software system, and comprise of six categories:

• Air Freight Company of the Year
• Road Freight Company of the Year
• Rail Freight Company of the Year
• Sea Freight Company of the Year
• Port Company of the Year
• 3PL of the Year

Nominations close on the 28th March 2025, with the list of finalists announced followed by voting from 7th April for the best in each sector to be chosen.

In addition, there are seven independently Judged Awards that are entered via a written nomination and judged by an independent judging panel of industry experts. The entry deadline for these is the 1st May, with the list of Finalists being announced around the 6th May, before being judged by the independent panel. The Awards span the following:

• The Shipper/Partner of the Year Award
• Sustainability Company of the Year Award
• Young Logistics Professional of the Year Award
• Technology Company of the Year
• Best Warehouse Operation of the Year
• Customs Technology Partner of the Year
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Company of the Year

Finally, there are two Multimodal Judged Awards, selected by the organisers. They are:

The Multimodal Exhibitor of the Year and The Multimodal Personality of the Year.

With tickets selling out in record time for the last three years, those looking to attend are being encouraged to book their places as soon as possible. Tickets for the Awards include a drinks reception, beer and wine on the table and a three-course meal.

The headline sponsor of the Awards is Logistics UK, with each award then supported by a leading industry business. The full list can be viewed here.
