Wincanton has announced that it has successfully renewed contracts for its Industrial and Transport business with Valero Energy Ltd and Marley Ltd
Firstly, Wincanton has agreed terms with Valero to provide fuel distribution services for a further five years. The Group will manage transportation from Valero's UK terminals to more than 700 retail sites across the country. More than 200 deliveries will be made by Wincanton every day, transporting over two billion litres of ground fuel each year.
Wincanton has additionally renewed its contract with Marley for the distribution of roofing products across the UK until late 2023. This contract will continue a strong working relationship between the two companies that stretches back over a decade to 2008. The contract sees the Group use a dedicated fleet of specialist vehicles, which will be supported by Wincanton's wider construction fleet of over 200 mechanical off-load vehicles; which represents the largest fleet in the UK.
Adrian Colman, CEO of Wincanton, commented:
"We've been working with Valero for more than 25 years. In that time, we've built up a strong partnership with Valero and developed a real understanding of the needs of its customers. Extending our working relationship with Marley is validation of our expertise in servicing this business up and down the UK with complex transportation requirements."
