James Wroath was previously SVP for Kuehne & Nagel in the UK and North America
Adrian Colman, Chief Executive of Wincanton, has formally notified the Company’s Board of his intention to retire. He will therefore step down from the Board later this year. The Board is pleased to announce that he will be succeeded by James Wroath, currently Chief Operating Officer, North America for LSG Sky Chefs.
James' appointment follows a comprehensive search process undertaken by the Board's Nomination Committee, as part of its succession planning, supported by an external search firm.
James has been Chief Operating Officer of North America for LSG Sky Chefs since 2015. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President for Kuehne & Nagel in the UK and North America with senior roles in contract logistics and transportation between 2006 and 2015. Prior to that, James worked in senior distribution roles with Scottish & Newcastle.
James is expected to join Wincanton no later than the end of October. In order to effect an orderly handover, Adrian will remain as Chief Executive and Board director until that time.
Wincanton has acknowledged the significant contribution that Adrian has made during his six years with the Group. During his tenure, Wincanton has successfully rebuilt its financial position and considerably improved the reliability of its earnings
