Leading compliance specialist, VARTAN, has further strengthened its comprehensive range of customs compliance services with the appointment of Liz Wiles as a Customs Compliance Support Manager and a promotion for Neil Bird, to Manager

With its continued growth Felixstowe-based VARTAN is now the UK’s most successful and fastest growing Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification provider, currently supporting in excess of 20 companies in their quest to be Brexit ready.

Miles Vartan, Managing Director of VARTAN said:

“We’re delighted to have Liz join our specialist team in a managerial capacity. Well respected across the industry and with over 30 years’ experience, her specialism in customs clearance processes and procedures couldn’t be more relevant.  As Brexit looms ever-closer her expertise will prove a huge asset to the whole team.”

Having joined the VARTAN team two years ago, Neil’s established track record in international trade compliance and Customs regulations in the UK and overseas has been recognised with a promotion to Manager and running the Consultancy Team.

Miles continued:

“Neil’s promotion is well-deserved. His work supporting clients to achieve AEO status is exemplary and he is consistently exceeding clients’ expectations.  It’s an interesting and unique time to be involved in Customs Compliance and I am confident Neil will rise to the position’s challenges.

“As the UK prepares to leave the European Union, and with protracted uncertainty about Customs arrangements post-Brexit, VARTAN is in a stronger position than ever to work with companies to manage their compliance and risk profile, whether there’s a deal or no deal.”
