Logpods to promote products and services to shippers
A major new attraction at next year’s Multimodal Exhibition and Conference will be the British International Freight Association’s Freight Forwarders Village, designed to provide a marketplace for BIFA members and associate members to showcase the products and services they offer.
BIFA has reached an agreement with the event’s organisers to expand its existing presence by creating this freight forwarders village in a prominent part of the exhibition hall.
The village will provide a networking marketplace where visitors to the show can learn more about the workings of the trade association; the benefits of being a member, whilst discussing their day-to-day freight forwarding requirements with actual BIFA members that decide take a presence in the marketplace.
The Freight Forwarders Village, will include BIFA’s exhibition stand, workshop arena, as well as a break out and refreshments zone.
In addition, it will feature bespoke Logistics Services Provider Pods (Logpods) that will only be available to BIFA members and associate members. Whilst these units will be small in scale, they will be very cost effective for BIFA members that do not have large marketing budgets, but want to promote their products and services to the significant number of shippers, cargo owners and other visitors that Multimodal attracts.
As part of the agreement, all companies that make the finalists' shortlist in the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2019 will be eligible for one of the Logpods free of charge.
To BIFA members that don’t make the finalists shortlist, the Logpods can be reserved for just £950, which includes all the build costs, lighting and power.

“This agreement is our response to increasing the involvement of the freight forwarding sector in the event. At a cost of just £950, and with no set-up costs, it really is a cost effective way for BIFA members or associate members to get their marketing message across to many of their target audience who attend the event.
“Every company that books a Logpod will receive full marketing support to help them to derive maximum benefits from their participation. They will also have access to the meeting function of the event app so they can arrange meetings with shipper VIPs that attend the event; functionality that won’t be available to general visitors and non-shipper VIPs.”

“The offer of a free Logpod to any BIFA member, which makes the finalists' shortlist of the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2019, should also encourage any BIFA member that has not already entered the awards to make sure that they do so before the October 8th entry deadline.
