Reliable and fast are two essential ingredients when transporting reefer commodities, something that comes as standard with MSC’s new direct service, connecting Dakar and North Europe.

The fresh fruit and vegetable market is one of the most important in world trade, which is why this new transit leading service is dedicated to the export of Reefer commodities from West Africa, connecting the regions fruit, vegetable, and frozen fish suppliers directly to key commercial partners across Europe, including the United Kingdom, in just 10 days (Senegal – Tilbury).

Raquel Pereira, Import Reefer Manager MSC UK commented:

“We pride ourselves on offering first class customer service, so it is great we can complement this with a rotation that is both reliable and that offers our customers an industry leading transit time. Our dedicated in-house team are ready and waiting to meet our customers’ individual needs and we aim to build long-term partnerships.”

Separately, MSC has rebranded Bolloré Africa Logistics. It will now be known as AGL, which stands for Africa Global Logistics.

MSC completed the acquisition of the operator in December 2022 and after three months has decided to change its brand.

AGL will operate as an independent entity and is part of the cargo division at MSC.

With an important logistics footprint in Africa, from warehousing and cold storage to other logistics solutions, AGL is expected to support MSC and all other shipping lines with productive maritime container terminals, as well as efficient multipurpose terminals and rail operations.

"This new brand reinforces our ambition to be a trusted logistics partner for our customers in Africa and around the world while underlining our commitment to innovate and participate alongside Africa’s states and partners in the transformation of the continent,” stated Phillipe Labonne, president of AGL.

AGL operates over 250 logistics and cargo companies, as well as 22 port and train concessions, 66 dry ports, and two river terminals, while it also employs 21,000 people across 49 countries
