KNP Logistics invests

KNP
Will take fleet of MAN trucks to 170 strong
As part of the group’s continuous renewal strategy and to support future growth, KNP Logistics Group has added an additional 22 MAN TGXs to join the 148 already on fleet.

Voted International Truck of the Year 2021, the TGX26.470 6x2/2 GM cabs were specified with DVS cameras, ADR kits, Anderson leads and fridges.

Paul Abbott, KNP Group Director, commented:

“With safety is at the forefront of Group decisions, MAN’s optiView digital exterior mirrors/cameras, blind spot sensors and turn assist sensors were key to the decision process.

“The new generation model has improved precision handling, excellent visibility and adaptive cruise control. The 470s perform well for us across varying applications and the Enhanced Specifications tick all the boxes for both driver and operator.

“By February 2022, the group will have 170 MANs on fleet, ranging from TGE Panel vans to 44 tonne long distance tractors.  The aftersales support for the MAN fleet from the eight regional dealer locations KNP utilises around the UK, was as critical as the safety enhancements to the decision process.

“MAN has underpinned KNP operations since the onset but in particular during the 2020/21 Covid challenges, it’s a relationship we look forward to pursuing as we all move towards emission free transport.”

Neil Cox, MAN Truck & Bus said:

“MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd have been proud supply partners for nearly 7 years, with a brief of not just delivering the latest in truck technology but also to fully ensure KNP achieve maximum uptime though MAN dealers delivering repair and maintenance contracts”

Additional MAN orders in the 2022 pipeline include 10 x MAN 15t TGM Curtain siders, 10 x 18t TGM Curtain siders, 4 x 26 TGM Curtain siders and an additional 15 tractors units, two of which are with enhanced specifications
