Kinaxia Logistics has appointed Simon Hobbs to the newly-created role of group chief executive.

Hobbs has previously held senior positions with Kuehne + Nagel, CEVA Logistics and DHL.

The group has enjoyed 'significant and continued growth' over recent years, with annual revenues now topping £200m.

Commenting on the move, Kinaxia Group founders Graham Norfolk and Peter Fields said:

“In line with our recent growth and increase in scale and complexity, we have reviewed our management structure and created a new role of chief executive.

“Simon has a wealth of customer, operations and commercial experience gained from senior supply chain roles.

“His experience will complement the skills we already have within the group and support our growth strategy. We are delighted to welcome him to this new role.

"We, together with the board, look forward to working with Simon to continue the Kinaxia journey.”

Simon said:

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Kinaxia at such an exciting time for the group.

“Kinaxia is already in the top 15 of UK logistics companies and we are confident that our ‘Family of families’ approach will result in sustained growth as we continue to offer local expertise, ownership and entrepreneurship with a national capability.

“I look forward to working with the Kinaxia team to achieve our goals.”
