The UK arm of a global logistics specialist has increased sales towards the £75m mark after benefitting from sustained volumes of international trade and new business.
Kerry Logistics UK provides supply chain services for a number of companies across a wide range of industries, including fashion, industrial and material science, food and beverage, and technology.
It is part of the wider Kerry Logistics Group in Hong Kong.
For the year to 31 December 2017, the company reported turnover of £73.1m compared to £65.5m the prior period.
Pre-tax profits were down slightly from £2.82m to £2.77m.
Reflecting on the year, directors noted that the company benefitted from sustained volumes of international trade, while new business generated from sales efforts has "remained strong" and given the logistics specialist a "good platform for continued growth".
"The company occupies a good position in the UK market for logistics and freight forwarding services, which is highly competitive," said Kerry Logistics.
"The company's position and its performance can only be maintained by continuing to provide an exceptional service to clients by both innovating and broadening its services offering and by extending the customer base through both organic growth and acquisition."
Headquartered in Greater Manchester, Kerry Logistics UK has operations in Birmingham, Bradford, Glasgow, Kent and Middlesex.
