Multimodal 2018 is proud to support Business on the Move.
On the back of the worldwide success of its initial UK-centric production run, 2017 saw a new Global edition of Business on the Move.
Business on the Move is a versatile educational resource in the form of an innovative board game where players are challenged to run their own logistics business delivering orders to customers as fast, as profitably and as socially responsibly as they can
Since launch in 2014 this resource has not only been proven to work with an extremely broad age range of learners from primary pupils to logistics professionals, the game is now being played across five continents.
The branding of sponsors, such as CHEP, DP World and the MSC, is being actively incorporated into the new Global edition, seeking to change the face of supply chain recruitment by building interest in the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of supply chains from an early age, encouraging gender diversity and challenging preconceptions of an industry that operates under too many people’s radar.
Conservatively projected to be played by the some 200,000 (young) people over the 5 years, 2017-21, the goal is to make supply chains a ‘career of choice’, developing a talent pipeline and reducing future recruitment costs.
Business on the Move is distributed through The Very Enterprising Community Interest Company (CIC), a form of social enterprise. As a CIC, an ‘asset lock’ guarantees any surpluses will be re-invested in the community
