Hallis Hudson enlists the support of Gideon Hillman Consulting

Hallis Hudson Group is a family owned business based in Preston, dedicated to delivering the best selection of window furnishing products to the trade. The experience of 2 family generations delivers specialist knowledge which drives a passion for delivering the best selection of products and the friendly customer service.

Their investment in personnel, technology and stock gives Hallis Hudson's customers a real "one-stop shop" supplier for their window furnishing needs. Each Internal Account Manager has access to a computerised stock ordering and delivery system linked directly to the warehouse.

The Hallis Hudson warehouse holds a major stockholding of tens of thousands of window furnishing products including fabrics & wallpapers, tiebacks & trimmings, holdbacks, linings, workroom essentials, child safety, blinds, tracks and wood & metal curtain poles. As soon as an order is placed, a despatch note is printed in the warehouse where the goods are picked, packed and despatched the same day.

Hallis Hudson engaged the support of The Specialist Logistics and Supply Chain Consultants at Gideon Hillman Consulting, to advise upon recommendations for their current warehouse, to aid their growing business plans and aid the extension of their bespoke services.

Gideon Hillman Consulting reviewed the plans and provided Hallis Hudson with recommendations for the optimal utilisation of available space, with a view to increasing operational efficiency in current and future scenarios.
