Ariaen Zimmerman is the Executive Director of Cargo iQ, whose global membership work together to measure success and continuously improve the value of airfreight for customers.  He was educated in the UK, US, and the Netherlands and began his career in aviation with Polar Air Cargo, where he managed Global Accounts for over four years.  After running his own change management consultancy TCEN, Ariaen brought his expertise to Saudi Airlines, where he initiated and lead their Key Account Department as Director Global Key Accounts.  Ariaen took up the role of Executive Director role at Cargo iQ in July 2015 and has driven the IATA interest group’s change programme which has included the preparation of a new industry standard audit and certification scheme.



John Williams is Group Managing Director of Maritime Transport.   John has established, developed and run numerous successful transport ventures in the UK and Europe and has had an influential role in shaping the landscape of the transport and logistics industry in the UK for almost 40 years. John is the owner and Group Managing Director of Maritime and is a Non-Executive Director of the Freight Transport Association (FTA).


David Wells is the Chief Executive of the Freight Transport Association (FTA) representing industry’s freight interests by road, rail, sea and air. The FTA has over 14,000 members who operate more than 220,000 goods vehicles (half of the UK fleet) consign over 90 per cent of freight moved by rail and 70 percent of sea and air freight.  David joined the FTA in April 2009 as Finance and IT Director; subsequently taking on additional responsibility for the Association’s Vehicle Inspection Service, Training and the Tachograph Analysis Service.  Having completed an Engineering Degree in Liverpool, David then studied for membership of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, qualifying in November 1993 whilst working in industry. His career has centred around engineering and service businesses and has both European and North American finance and operations experience.


Peter Ward is Chief Executive of the UK Warehousing Association with over 30 years’ experience in international transportation, logistics and supply chain management with some of the world’s leading logistics providers. Most recently Peter was Director Europe of P&O Nedlloyd Logistics, and Commercial Director at DP World London Gateway prior to joining UKWA as Chief Executive in January 2015. 



Garry Mansell, President, Trade Extensions has over 25 years experience in the fields of buying, negotiation, e-sourcing and supply chain management, mainly in the FMCG sector where he spent most of his career in logistics buying and supply chain operations with Mars, Incorporated. He was a co-founder and Managing Director of Freight Traders, one of the first online Freight Procurement platforms, before its merger with Trade Extensions which is a leading Strategic Sourcing Software provider. Garry has published a number of papers in the field of logistics and sourcing and regularly speaks at conferences around the world. He is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply and the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport.



Robert Jervis, Portfolio Director of Multimodal has been organising transport and logistics events since 1988! As Event Director at Cargo Systems, and later at Informa, Robert has organised the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Hungary, The Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, the US, Mexico, Panama and Chile. 

Robert launched Multimodal in 2008 to serve the needs of the UK shipper and logistics markets



Chris Dodd is an international supply chain professional with a wide spectrum of experience gained during 25+ years working for blue chip companies and International freight forwarders.  A knowledgeable Senior Manager having had positions within international logistics, supply chain and purchasing management, including customs, purchasing and planning, vendor management,operations, counterfeit, PM, warehousing, fleet management, tendering and managing international freight, implementing and managing 3rd Party Logistics outsourced activities.   Chris has worked for Freightliner, AEI, OOCL, Yusen, DHL and Belkin.
